Philosophy of Program and Teaching
Our philosophy is that behavior is a product of our environment.
Our philosophy is that behavior is a product of our environment.
Our philosophy is that behavior is a product of our environment. Thus, we focus on making changes to the individual’s environment to make positive behavioral changes. To do this, we identify what triggers behavior as well as what is causing the behavior to maintain; in other words, what are they getting for behaving? To make a positive behavioral change, we must take both the triggers and consequences for behavior into consideration. Throughout this process, as well as treatment, we turn to the science of behavior and implement procedures based off Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), such as Discrete Trial Teaching, Applied Verbal Behavior Approach, Natural Environment Teaching and Incidental Teaching, and Direct Instruction.
